Overview

Baby Nadif Disposable Tips contains materials and components and is presented as a healthcare product. It is supplied in a pack size of 20s.

It is classified as an over-the-counter (OTC) medicine, so no prescription is needed to order it. Under Malaysian rules for medicine information, this page carries product, safety and handling information only.

You can consult a doctor or pharmacist online on DoctorOnCall about this product before or after you order. Every order is checked by a registered pharmacist before it is delivered. Always read the label and the leaflet supplied with the pack.

Directions for Use

Unwrap one tip immediately before use and attach it firmly to the compatible nasal aspirator device according to the aspirator’s own instructions. Gently position the tip at the opening of the nostril, taking care not to insert it too deeply, and operate the aspirator as directed. Remove and discard the tip after the session; do not reuse a tip that has already been used, even on the same person.

Dosage

Not applicable — this is a disposable device accessory, not a medicine requiring a dose. As a guide, one tip is intended per aspirator session per nostril, then discarded, with the number of sessions in a day depending on the aspirator’s own directions for use.

Storage Instructions

Store the pack of tips in a clean, dry place at room temperature, away from direct sunlight, and out of the reach of children. Do not remove a tip from its individual wrapping until it is about to be used.

Side Effects

  • Common: Mild, temporary nasal irritation or a tickling sensation during or shortly after use.
  • Common: Slight redness around the nostril, particularly with repeated use in the same session.
  • Serious: Nosebleed, ongoing soreness, or swelling around the nostril that does not settle should be reviewed by a doctor or pharmacist, as it may indicate that the tip was inserted too deeply or used too forcefully.

Contraindications

  • Not for use if there is visible damage, cracking, or deformity to the tip or its wrapping.
  • Not for reuse under any circumstance — each tip is single-use only, even for the same baby.
  • Not for use in a nostril with an existing injury, active infection, or recent nasal surgery unless first checked with a doctor.

Drug / Food Interactions

  • Not applicable — this is a disposable device accessory, not a medicine, and has no known drug or food interactions.

Quick Tips

  • Always fit a new, unused tip for each aspirator session, and discard it immediately afterwards.
  • Check that the tip is fitted securely to the aspirator before use, so suction is not lost around the connection.
  • Keep the remaining unused tips in their individual wrapping and store the whole pack away from moisture.
  • Have a few spare tips on hand when travelling, since a used tip cannot be reused later.
  • Position the tip gently at the nostril opening rather than inserting it deeply.
  • Wash hands before and after handling a tip and operating the aspirator.

Relevant Information

Precautions: These are single-use tips intended for one aspirator session only; reusing a tip, or using a damaged or previously opened tip, may reduce hygiene and effectiveness. Position the tip gently and avoid inserting it too deeply into the nostril to reduce the chance of irritation. Supervise use in babies and young children at all times.

When to See a Doctor or Pharmacist: Seek advice from a doctor or pharmacist if nasal irritation, redness, or soreness persists after use, if a nosebleed occurs and does not stop promptly, or if there are ongoing signs of nasal discomfort that are not explained by normal, gentle use of the tip.
