No prescription is required for this product, as it is a non-prescription medicine. This page is limited to product, safety and handling information.

If you would like guidance before buying, you can speak to a doctor or pharmacist through an online consultation on DoctorOnCall. Orders are dispensed by a registered pharmacist and delivered to your address.

Directions for Use

Shake the inhaler well before each use, breathe out fully away from the device, place the mouthpiece between your lips and form a tight seal, then press down on the canister while breathing in slowly and deeply; hold your breath for about 10 seconds before breathing out slowly. Prime the inhaler with test sprays into the air before first use or after a period of non-use, as instructed in the package leaflet.

Dosage

For quick relief of symptoms, the usual adult dose is 1 to 2 puffs (100 to 200mcg) as needed, and for prevention of exercise-induced symptoms, 1 to 2 puffs shortly before exertion, but exact dosing, including maximum daily puffs, should follow your doctor’s instructions and the package leaflet; seek medical attention if you find yourself needing it more often than usual.

Shelf Life

Cipla Asthalin HFA 100mcg Metered Dose Inhaler is generally stable for up to 24 to 36 months from manufacture when unopened and stored correctly; check the expiry date on the canister or carton and dispose of the inhaler once the labelled number of doses has been used or it has expired.

Storage Instructions

Store the inhaler below 30°C, away from direct heat, sunlight, and frost, and never puncture, break, or burn the canister even when it appears empty, as it remains pressurised; keep out of reach of children.
