Overview

Dermoplex Burn Aid Cream is a cream with materials and components declared as its active content. It is supplied in a pack size of 25g.

This is an over-the-counter (OTC) product and can be purchased without a prescription. Only product, safety and handling details are published on this page.

An online consultation with a DoctorOnCall doctor or pharmacist is available for this product, and a registered pharmacist reviews each order before dispatch to Malaysia or Singapore. Follow the directions on the label and on the leaflet inside the pack.

Directions for Use

First cool the affected area under cool running water and gently pat the skin dry with a clean cloth. Apply a thin, even layer of Dermoplex Burn Aid Cream over the affected area without rubbing harshly, and allow it to be absorbed naturally. Wash hands before and after application. For sensitive skin or first-time use, a small patch test on unaffected skin is advisable to check for any reaction before wider use.

Dosage

Not applicable in the sense of a swallowed or systemic dose — Dermoplex Burn Aid Cream is for external, topical use only on the skin. As a general guide, apply a thin layer to the affected area 2 to 3 times a day, or as needed; do not apply more frequently than directed on the packaging without pharmacist advice.

Shelf Life

Use before the expiry date printed on the tube or carton. As with most OTC topical creams, an opened tube is generally best used within about 6 to 12 months of first opening, but always follow the specific expiry and period-after-opening information on the packaging, as this has not been independently verified for this exact product.

Storage Instructions

Store below 30°C in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat. Keep the tube tightly capped when not in use, and keep out of reach of children.

Side Effects

  • Common: mild, temporary stinging or a cooling sensation on application.
  • Common: slight redness or dryness at the application site.
  • Serious: signs of an allergic reaction such as increasing rash, itching, swelling, or blistering beyond the application area — stop use and seek medical advice.
  • Serious: signs of skin infection such as spreading redness, warmth, pus, or fever, which need prompt medical assessment.

Contraindications

  • Do not use on deep, large, severely blistered, or infected skin — seek medical care instead.
  • Do not use if you have a known allergy or hypersensitivity to any ingredient in this cream.
  • Avoid contact with the eyes, mouth, and other mucous membranes.
  • Discontinue use if a rash, worsening irritation, or signs of infection develop.

Drug / Food Interactions

  • No clinically significant drug or food interactions are expected for this topical product when used as directed on intact or minor superficial skin injuries, since it is not intended to be swallowed and is not expected to be significantly absorbed into the bloodstream.
  • If used together with other topical products on the same area (e.g. other creams, ointments, or dressings), apply them separately and allow each to absorb before applying the next, to avoid diluting their effect.

Quick Tips

  • Apply the cream to clean, dry skin in a thin, even layer.
  • A thicker layer does not change how the product performs and may feel greasy.
  • Keep the application site clean between uses.
  • Do a patch test on a small area first if you have sensitive skin.
  • Keep the product in a cool, dry place, tightly capped, away from children.
  • Check with a doctor or pharmacist if you are unsure whether this product is suitable for your situation.

Relevant Information

Precautions: For external use only, on small areas of skin. Avoid applying to broken, blistered, or infected skin, or to the eyes or mucous membranes. Pregnant or breastfeeding women and parents of young children should check with a pharmacist or doctor before use if unsure.

When to See a Doctor or Pharmacist: See a doctor or pharmacist promptly if the affected area is large, deep, involves the face, hands, joints, or genitals, if it does not improve within a few days, if pain or redness worsens, if blisters or signs of infection appear, or if there is any doubt about the severity of the situation.
