Duopharma Carinox Capsule is a mucolytic medicine containing Carbocisteine, used to help reduce the thickness and stickiness of mucus (phlegm) in the airways, making it easier to cough up and clear from the chest. It is commonly used for coughs with thick phlegm associated with conditions such as bronchitis, chesty colds, and other respiratory conditions where excess or thickened mucus causes discomfort or breathing difficulty.

This capsule is a non-prescription (over-the-counter) medicine widely used by adults to relieve chesty, productive coughs. It works by altering the composition of respiratory mucus rather than suppressing the cough itself, so it is generally used together with adequate fluid intake to help the loosened mucus be cleared more effectively through coughing.

Carbocisteine is a mucolytic agent that works by reducing the viscosity (thickness) of mucus produced in the respiratory tract. • Active peptic ulcer disease
• Not recommended for patients with a history of stomach bleeding
• Use with caution in patients with a history of gastrointestinal disease
• Not intended for very young children unless specifically advised by a doctor

• May interact with medicines that affect the stomach lining, such as non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), increasing the risk of gastrointestinal irritation
