Dyna U Suspension

Dyna U Suspension combines aluminium hydroxide and magnesium hydroxide, which are acid-neutralising antacids, together with simethicone, an anti-foaming agent, to relieve heartburn, acid indigestion, bloating, and trapped gas caused by excess stomach acid. It is commonly used for occasional stomach discomfort, acid reflux symptoms, and flatulence.

Dyna U Suspension is available over the counter in Malaysia and can be purchased through DoctorOnCall without a prescription for short-term symptomatic relief. If heartburn or indigestion is severe, frequent, or persistent, you should consult a doctor to rule out an underlying condition.

Aluminium hydroxide and magnesium hydroxide work by neutralising excess acid in the stomach, raising gastric pH and providing quick relief from heartburn and indigestion. Simethicone works differently, reducing the surface tension of gas bubbles trapped in the digestive tract so that they combine into larger bubbles that are more easily passed, helping to relieve bloating and flatulence.

Shake the bottle well before each use and measure the dose using the cup or spoon provided. Take Dyna U Suspension orally after meals and at bedtime, or as needed for symptoms, following the instructions on the label. It may be taken with a small amount of water if preferred.

Adults typically take 10 to 20ml (around 2 to 4 teaspoons) after meals and at bedtime as needed, up to 4 times a day, following the dose stated on the product label. Use in children should follow the guidance of a doctor or pharmacist, and the maximum recommended daily frequency should not be exceeded.

Dyna U Suspension is generally stable for up to 24 months from the date of manufacture when stored correctly and unopened. Check the expiry date on the bottle or carton before use.

Store Dyna U Suspension at room temperature, below 30 degrees Celsius, and do not freeze. Keep the bottle tightly closed, shake well before each use, and keep out of reach of children.

• People on a low-phosphate diet, unless advised by a doctor

• May reduce the absorption of certain antibiotics such as tetracyclines
• May reduce the absorption of iron supplements and some heart medicines such as digoxin
• Other oral medicines should generally be taken at least 2 hours before or after this suspension
• Avoid taking together with high-dose calcium supplements without medical advice

• Take other oral medicines at least 2 hours apart from Dyna U Suspension
• Shake the bottle well before every dose
• Do not exceed the recommended daily frequency stated on the label
• Seek medical advice if symptoms persist for more than 2 weeks
• This suspension is not a substitute for medical evaluation of persistent digestive symptoms
