Euderm 10% Cream

Euderm 10% Cream is a topical moisturising cream containing urea (carbamide) 10% w/w as its active ingredient, the same class of ingredient used in several other urea-based dry-skin creams sold in Malaysian pharmacies. It is manufactured under the Euderm brand, distributed in Malaysia by Xepa-Soul Pattinson, and is sold as an over-the-counter product available without a doctor’s prescription.

The cream is supplied in a 45g tube, a smaller pack size than some other urea creams on the market, making it convenient for targeted, spot application on smaller areas of rough or dry skin such as the elbows, knees, or hands, rather than large-scale body use. As with other urea-based creams, the manufacturer’s full inactive-ingredient list is set out on the product packaging rather than disclosed separately online.

The urea in Euderm 10% Cream works mainly as a humectant, drawing water into the stratum corneum, the outermost layer of skin, and helping the skin’s surface hold on to that moisture for longer. At a 10% concentration, urea also has a mild keratolytic effect, gently loosening the connections between built-up dead skin cells in areas of rough or thickened skin so that the outer layer can shed more evenly.

Because urea is chemically identical to a compound the skin already produces as part of its natural moisturising factor, it is generally well tolerated when applied topically at this concentration. This dual humectant and mild keratolytic action is what distinguishes urea-based creams from simpler moisturisers that rely only on oils or occlusive agents to reduce water loss from the skin.

Clean and dry the area of skin to be treated. Squeeze a small amount of cream from the tube and apply a thin, even layer over the affected area, massaging gently until absorbed. Wash your hands afterwards unless the hands are the area being treated. Avoid the eyes, lips, and other mucous membranes, and do not apply to broken, infected, or weeping skin.

Apply a small amount of Euderm 10% Cream to the affected area 1 to 2 times daily, or as directed by a pharmacist or doctor. This is a topical-only product with no oral dose. Do not increase the frequency of application beyond what is stated on the packaging without professional advice.

A specific shelf-life duration for Euderm 10% Cream is not independently verified; always check the expiry date printed on the tube and carton and do not use the product after this date.

Store below 30°C in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Keep the tube cap tightly closed between uses and keep out of reach of children.
