Overview

Fexovid 180mg Tablet contains Fexofenadine hydrochloride equivalent to fexofenadine 180mg and is presented as a tablet. It is supplied in pack sizes of 28s and 7s.

It is classified as a non-prescription medicine, so no prescription is needed to order it. Under Malaysian rules for medicine information, this page carries product, safety and handling information only.

You can consult a doctor or pharmacist online on DoctorOnCall about this product before or after you order. Every order is checked by a registered pharmacist before it is delivered. Always read the label and the leaflet supplied with the pack.

Directions for Use

Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of plain water, ideally on an empty stomach before a meal, once daily or as directed on the product label or by a pharmacist. Avoid taking it with fruit juices such as apple, orange or grapefruit juice, as these may reduce how well the medicine is absorbed.

Dosage

The usual dose for adults and children aged 12 years and above is one 180mg tablet once daily for allergic rhinitis, or as directed for chronic urticaria. Patients with reduced kidney function may be advised a lower dose by a pharmacist or doctor. Do not exceed the recommended dose.

Storage Instructions

Store below 30°C in a dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep the tablets in their original packaging until ready to use, and keep out of reach and sight of children.

Drug / Food Interactions

  • Avoid taking with fruit juices such as apple, orange or grapefruit juice, which can reduce fexofenadine absorption
  • Antacids containing aluminium or magnesium hydroxide may reduce absorption if taken at the same time; space doses apart if both are needed
  • Alcohol may add to any drowsiness, although this is less common with fexofenadine than older antihistamines
  • Inform a pharmacist of other medicines being taken, especially if kidney function is reduced

Quick Tips
