Overview

Hansaplast Sensitive is supplied as a healthcare product, with materials and components. It is supplied in a pack size of 20s.

No prescription is required for this product, as it is an over-the-counter (OTC) medicine. This page is limited to product, safety and handling information.

If you would like guidance before buying, you can speak to a doctor or pharmacist through an online consultation on DoctorOnCall. Orders are dispensed by a registered pharmacist and delivered to your address.

Directions for Use

Wash and thoroughly dry the skin around the area to be covered before application, as the adhesive bonds best to clean, dry skin free of oil, lotion, or loose debris.

Select a strip large enough that the adhesive border extends well beyond the edges of the area being covered.

Peel away the protective backing from the plaster, taking care not to touch the non-stick pad with your fingers, then position the pad directly over the area and press the adhesive edges down firmly on both sides.

Smooth the plaster from the centre outward so it follows the natural contour of the skin, avoiding unnecessary stretching of the fabric backing.

Change the strip if it becomes wet, soiled, or starts to lift at the edges, and always use a fresh strip for each new application.

To remove, lift one corner gently and peel the strip back slowly, keeping the pull parallel to the skin rather than straight upward, to reduce discomfort.

Dosage

Not applicable. Hansaplast Sensitive is a wound-care device (an adhesive plaster/bandage) and not a medicine, so it is not dosed. It is applied as an individual strip, sized and positioned according to the area being covered, as described under Directions for Use.

Shelf Life

An exact shelf-life duration is not confirmed here; please check the expiry date printed on the individual strip wrapper or outer carton and use the product before that date. Do not use a strip if its wrapper is torn, punctured, or already open, or if the pad appears discoloured.

Storage Instructions

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, heat, and moisture, ideally at normal room temperature. Keep each strip in its sealed individual wrapper until it is needed, and keep the outer carton closed between uses so the unused strips stay clean. Keep out of reach of young children.

Side Effects

  • Common: Mild, temporary redness or a faint adhesive mark at the edges of the strip after removal, particularly with frequent reapplication to the same area of skin.
  • Common: Slight dryness or flaking of the skin directly under the adhesive border after prolonged wear.
  • Serious: Allergic contact dermatitis, appearing as itching, blistering, or a spreading rash beyond the area covered by the strip — stop use and seek medical or pharmacist advice if this occurs.

Contraindications

  • Known allergy or hypersensitivity to adhesive plasters, non-woven fabric backings, or similar medical adhesive materials.
  • Direct application over actively bleeding wounds, deep puncture wounds, burns, or infected skin without prior guidance from a healthcare professional.
  • Use on skin that has previously reacted with blistering or severe irritation to this or a similar adhesive plaster.

Drug / Food Interactions

  • Not applicable — this is a topical adhesive wound-care device with no drug or food interactions.

Quick Tips

  • Apply the plaster to clean, dry skin for the most secure and even adhesion.
  • Choose a strip size that leaves enough adhesive border around the wound pad to hold the plaster firmly in place.
  • Avoid stretching the fabric backing tightly across joints or moving areas, as this can pull on the skin and cause discomfort on removal.
  • Check the skin under the strip periodically and change it if it becomes wet, soiled, or starts lifting at the edges.
  • Remove the strip slowly, parallel to the skin surface, rather than peeling it straight upward.
  • Keep unused strips in their sealed wrappers until needed so the adhesive stays fresh and effective.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a prescription to buy Hansaplast Sensitive?

No. Hansaplast Sensitive is an over-the-counter (OTC) product and can be ordered without a prescription. It is still dispensed by a registered pharmacist on DoctorOnCall.

What does Hansaplast Sensitive contain?

Hansaplast Sensitive is a healthcare product containing materials declared on the pack. The full ingredient list is shown in the Ingredients section on this page and on the product packaging.

What pack sizes does Hansaplast Sensitive come in?

It is supplied in a pack size of 20s. Choose the pack size you need from the options shown on this page before adding the item to your cart.

Why is there no information here about what Hansaplast Sensitive is for?

This page is limited to product, safety and handling information in line with Malaysian rules on medicine information. If you want advice on whether this product suits you, book an online consultation with a doctor or pharmacist on DoctorOnCall.

How should I use Hansaplast Sensitive?

Follow the instructions printed on the label and in the leaflet supplied with the pack, and do not exceed the stated amount or duration. Handling steps are set out in the Directions for Use section on this page.

Can I speak to a doctor or pharmacist about Hansaplast Sensitive before I buy it?

Yes. DoctorOnCall offers online consultations with licensed doctors and registered pharmacists, so you can ask about this product, your existing medicines, or anything on the label before you place an order.

How should I store Hansaplast Sensitive?

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, heat, and moisture, ideally at normal room temperature. Keep each strip in its sealed individual wrapper until it is needed, and keep the outer carton closed between uses so the unused strips stay clean. Keep out of reach of young children. Keep it in its original pack and do not use it after the expiry date printed on the packaging.

What should I do if I notice side effects after using Hansaplast Sensitive?

Stop using the product and speak to a doctor or pharmacist about any reaction that concerns you. Seek medical care immediately for signs of a severe reaction such as difficulty breathing, swelling of the face, lips or throat, or a widespread rash. Reported reactions are listed in the Side Effects section on this page.

How long will delivery take?

Within Malaysia, standard delivery takes 3 to 5 working days. Same-day delivery is available in the Klang Valley for orders placed before 12pm; orders placed after 12pm arrive by the end of the next day.

Orders to Singapore are sent as international deliveries and take 5 to 9 working days. A lump-sum shipping and handling fee applies to every overseas delivery and is shown at checkout.

What payment methods can I use?

Customers in Malaysia can pay by FPX online banking, credit or debit card (Visa and Mastercard), and supported e-wallets including Touch ‘n Go eWallet, GrabPay and ShopeePay.

FPX and local e-wallets are tied to Malaysian bank and wallet accounts, so if your delivery address is in Singapore, use the payment options displayed at checkout for that address rather than assuming the same list applies.

Can Hansaplast Sensitive be delivered to Singapore?

Yes. DoctorOnCall ships to Singapore as an international order dispatched from Malaysia, arriving in 5 to 9 working days with a lump-sum shipping and handling fee.

Singapore’s Health Sciences Authority (HSA) allows personal imports of up to three months’ supply of a medicine for your own use or an immediate family member’s, as long as it contains no controlled drugs, psychotropic substances or prohibited items. Keep the product in its original labelled packaging and keep a copy of your prescription or doctor’s letter with it. Quantities above three months’ supply, and medicines containing controlled substances, require prior HSA approval.

Is Hansaplast Sensitive registered with the authorities?

Products listed on DoctorOnCall are registered with Malaysia’s Ministry of Health for supply in Malaysia, and each pack carries its MAL registration number.

An order delivered to Singapore arrives as a personal import of a Malaysia-registered product; HSA product registration is not required for personal-use quantities, but it is also not the same as a product registered for sale in Singapore. If you need a locally registered Singapore product, buy it from a pharmacy in Singapore.

Who do I contact if there is a problem with my order?

DoctorOnCall’s customer care team handles order, delivery and product queries through the contact channels on the site, including WhatsApp and the online help centre.

For deliveries to Singapore, allow more time before chasing an order than you would for a local Malaysian delivery, as the parcel passes through customs clearance and tracking updates can appear later in the journey.

Relevant Information

Precautions: This plaster is intended for external application to intact or minimally broken skin only. Take extra care in young children, elderly individuals, and people with thin, fragile, or previously irritated skin, as these groups may be more prone to adhesive-related skin reactions. Avoid leaving a single strip in place for an extended period without checking the skin underneath, and avoid wrapping or applying it so tightly that it restricts circulation.

When to See a Doctor or Pharmacist: Speak with a doctor or pharmacist if the skin under or around the strip becomes increasingly red, swollen, blistered, or painful, if a rash spreads beyond the covered area, or if the wound underneath shows signs of infection such as increasing pain, warmth, discharge, or fever. Also seek advice if you suspect a new adhesive allergy after use.
