Maxitrol Eye Drop

Maxitrol Eye Drop is a prescription medication that belongs to the drug class known as corticosteroids and antibiotics combination. It contains three active ingredients: Neomycin, Polymyxin B, and Dexamethasone. While taking this eye drop, some common side effects you might notice include temporary stinging or burning in the eyes, blurry vision, eye irritation, or increased pressure inside the eye. Wash your hands, tilt your head back, gently pull down your lower eyelid, and apply the prescribed number of drops directly into the eye without touching the bottle tip.

The usual recommended dosage is 1 to 2 drops in the affected eye(s) every 4 to 6 hours; however, follow your doctor’s instructions closely as frequency can vary with each case.

Maxitrol typically has a shelf life of 24 months (2 years) from the date of manufacture. Always check the expiry date before use.
