Blow your nose gently to clear it before use, then shake the bottle and prime the pump if using it for the first time or after a period of non-use, following the instructions in the package leaflet. Tilt your head slightly forward, insert the nozzle into one nostril while keeping it pointed away from the central nasal septum, and spray while gently breathing in through the nose; repeat in the other nostril as directed by your doctor, and avoid blowing your nose immediately afterwards.

The usual adult dose is typically two sprays into each nostril once daily, though the exact number of sprays, frequency, and treatment duration should follow your doctor’s specific instructions, as these may differ for maintenance use, children, or nasal polyps. Once symptoms are controlled, your doctor may advise reducing to the lowest dose that keeps symptoms manageable, and the spray should not be used for longer than prescribed without medical review.

Momate 50mcg Nasal Spray remains stable until the expiry date printed on the bottle and outer carton when stored correctly and unopened. Once opened, it is generally recommended for use within the period stated on the packaging or advised by your pharmacist, after which any remaining spray should be discarded.

Store Momate 50mcg Nasal Spray below 25°C to 30°C (as stated on the packaging) in an upright position, away from direct sunlight and heat, and keep the nozzle cap on between uses. Do not freeze, and keep it out of reach and sight of children at all times.

• Nasal dryness, irritation, or a burning sensation shortly after spraying
• Occasional nosebleeds, particularly if the nozzle is aimed towards the nasal septum
• Headache
• Sore throat or an unpleasant taste or smell after use
• Nasal crusting with prolonged use
• Rare, severe cases of nasal septum perforation with long-term, incorrect use
• Rare systemic corticosteroid effects if used excessively over a very prolonged period

• Known hypersensitivity to mometasone furoate or any other ingredient in the spray
• Untreated fungal, bacterial, viral, or tuberculous infections of the nasal or respiratory passages
• Recent nasal surgery, nasal septum ulcers, or recent nasal trauma, unless the healing process is complete and a doctor has approved use
• Use in young children without specific medical supervision and dosing guidance
• Active or untreated eye conditions such as glaucoma or cataracts, which warrant caution with any corticosteroid

• Other nasal or inhaled corticosteroid products, which can add to the total corticosteroid exposure if used together without medical guidance
• Strong CYP3A4 enzyme inhibitors (such as ritonavir or ketoconazole), which may increase mometasone levels in the body with prolonged combined use
• Other nasal decongestant sprays, which should generally not be used long-term alongside a steroid spray without a doctor’s advice
• No significant food interactions are typically expected with correct intranasal use

• Use this spray regularly as directed, even before symptoms appear during a known allergy season, for the best preventive effect
• Point the nozzle slightly away from the central nasal septum to reduce the risk of nosebleeds
• Allow several days of consistent use before expecting the full benefit, as this is not a fast-acting decongestant
• Do not share your nasal spray with others, to reduce the risk of spreading infection
• Return to your doctor for review if symptoms do not improve, you experience frequent nosebleeds, or you need to use it for an extended period
