Polylab Surgical Spirit Antiseptic

Polylab Surgical Spirit Antiseptic contains Isopropyl Alcohol (70% v/v), Methanol and Castor Oil and is presented as a healthcare product. It is supplied in a pack size of 100ml.

Pour a small amount of the solution onto a clean cotton wool pad or gauze. Wipe gently over the intact skin area to be disinfected, such as before an injection, or apply to hardened skin on the feet as directed. Allow the area to air-dry naturally; do not rub or blow on it to speed up drying. Do not apply to broken skin, open wounds, cuts with active bleeding, or mucous membranes. Avoid use near naked flames or heat sources, as the solution is flammable. Wash hands after use and ensure the area is fully dry before dressing or covering.

Not applicable, as this is a topical antiseptic solution for external use on intact skin only, and is not dosed in the way a medicine taken by mouth would be. Apply as needed, up to 2-3 times daily, or as directed by a healthcare professional.

Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place away from direct heat, flames, and sunlight, as the solution is flammable and its alcohol content can evaporate on prolonged exposure to heat. Keep the bottle tightly closed after use and store out of reach of children.

• Use only on intact, unbroken skin – never on open wounds or cuts.
• Let the skin dry naturally after application before dressing or covering the area.
• Keep well away from open flames, cigarettes, or heat sources, as the solution is flammable.
• Replace the cap tightly after every use to stop the alcohol content evaporating.
• Apply a light moisturiser afterwards on areas prone to dryness, once the antiseptic has fully dried.
• Do not use to clean the skin around the eyes, nose, or mouth.

Polylab Surgical Spirit Antiseptic is intended for application to intact skin only, not for cleaning open wounds. Because it contains a high concentration of alcohol, it can cause noticeable stinging if applied to broken skin, and should be kept away from heat and flames due to its flammability.

Precautions: Use with care on sensitive, dry, or eczema-prone skin, and avoid contact with the eyes, nose, mouth, and other mucous membranes. Not recommended for use on infants without medical advice. Ensure good ventilation when using the product and avoid smoking or using it near heat sources.
