Overview

Prime Asmin Expectorant is a healthcare product with Mefenamic Acid 500mg declared as its active content. It is supplied in a pack size of 90ml.

This is a non-prescription product and can be purchased without a prescription. Only product, safety and handling details are published on this page.

An online consultation with a DoctorOnCall doctor or pharmacist is available for this product, and a registered pharmacist reviews each order before dispatch to Malaysia or Singapore. Follow the directions on the label and on the leaflet inside the pack.

Directions for Use

Take Ponstan 500mg Tablet exactly as prescribed by your doctor, swallowing it whole with a glass of water and preferably with or after a meal to lessen the chance of stomach upset. Do not take it together with other NSAIDs, including aspirin used for pain relief, unless your doctor has specifically advised this, and do not continue treatment beyond the period your doctor has recommended.

Dosage

Your doctor will determine the appropriate dose and duration based on the type and severity of your pain; a common regimen for adults is an initial 500mg dose followed by 250mg every six hours as needed, typically for a short course rather than ongoing use. Do not take more than the maximum daily amount your doctor specifies. If you forget a dose and it is nearly time for the next one, skip the missed dose instead of taking two doses close together.

Storage Instructions

Store below 30°C in a dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture, keeping the tablets in their original packaging and out of the reach and sight of children.
