Prolife Gauze Swabs 8Ply 10cmx10cm are sterile, highly absorbent gauze swabs made from 100% pure cotton that has been bleached and sterilised. Each swab measures 10cm x 10cm with an 8-ply construction, and the pack of 100 swabs is individually wrapped and sterilised to maintain a sterile field.

Unlike non-sterile cotton balls or non-woven swabs, Prolife Gauze Swabs are individually wrapped and sterilised, unlike products supplied non-sterile.

The 8-ply woven cotton construction gives Prolife Gauze Swabs a thicker, more absorbent structure than lower-ply gauze, allowing them to soak up fluid or cleansing solution effectively while maintaining their shape during use. Each swab is individually sterilised and sealed, keeping it free from contamination until the wrapper is opened.

Wash and dry your hands thoroughly before opening the individual sterile wrapper. Open the wrapper just before use to avoid contaminating the swab, and avoid touching the part of the swab that will contact the wound. Use the swab to clean the wound or as a wound dressing as directed by a doctor, nurse, or pharmacist, and dispose of it after a single use; do not reuse a swab once its sterile wrapper has been opened, even if it appears clean.

Prolife Gauze Swabs are sterilised during manufacturing and packaged to maintain sterility until the individual wrapper is opened. Refer to the manufacturing or expiry information printed on the pack, and do not use a swab if its wrapper is damaged, torn, or already opened, as sterility cannot then be guaranteed.

Store in a clean, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture, at normal room temperature. Keep swabs in their individually sealed wrappers until the moment of use, and do not open a wrapper in advance of when the swab will actually be applied.

When to See a Doctor or Pharmacist: Seek medical attention if a wound is deep, does not stop bleeding, or shows signs of infection such as increasing redness, swelling, warmth, pus, or fever, or if you are unsure how to dress a particular wound.
