Overview

Reminyl 8mg Capsule is a prescription-only medicine (POM) presented as a capsule, with Galantamine 8mg (as galantamine hydrobromide) as its active ingredient content.

This page is limited to product, safety and handling information, in line with Malaysian rules on prescription medicine information for the public. Your prescriber or pharmacist is the right source for anything beyond that, together with the leaflet inside the pack.

Through DoctorOnCall, this product is supplied after an online consultation with a licensed doctor and a valid prescription, and it is checked by a registered pharmacist before dispensing. Take it exactly as prescribed, and speak to your doctor before stopping, changing the dose, or starting any other medicine alongside it.

Directions for Use

Take Reminyl 8mg Capsule with breakfast and dinner (or another two meals of the day) to reduce the chance of nausea and vomiting. Swallow the capsule whole with a drink of water; do not open or crush it. Drink enough fluids during treatment, and inform your doctor if you become unwell with vomiting or diarrhoea, as dehydration can increase side effects.

Dosage

Reminyl 8mg Capsule is usually taken twice daily with food, morning and evening. Treatment is typically started at a lower dose for the first four weeks and this strength often represents the next titration step, continued for at least four weeks before your doctor considers a further increase based on how well you tolerate and respond to it. Never adjust your dose without your doctor’s advice.

Storage Instructions

Store below 30°C in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and out of reach of children.
