How To Use Clarinase Repetab Tablet

This medicine is for oral use only. Swallow this medication as a whole with water. Do not chew, crush or break it. It is better to take this medication at a fixed time each day if it is indicated for everyday use.

Precautions

Alcohol Warning (Not Advisable)
It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Clarinase Repetab Tablet. Taking Clarinase Repetab Tablet with alcohol may also increase the risk of developing CNS depression No known side effects when used along with alcohol consumption.

Pregnancy Warning (Not Safe)
Clarinase Repetab Tablet should be safe as animals study showed no teratogenicity and fetal malformation recorded. Data of over 1000 women studied also showed no any negative effects on the fetal development.Clarinase Repetab Tablet may be unsafe to be used during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown adverse reactions on the fetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may outweigh the risk. Please consult your doctor before consuming it.

Breastfeeding Warning (Not Advisable)
Clarinase Repetab Tablet is probably unsafe to use during lactation. Clarinase Repetab Tablet is excreted into human breast milk hence should be avoided during lactation. Clarinase Repetab Tablet can pass into breast milk. Hence, caution should be exercised when prescribing Clarinase Repetab Tablet to breastfeeding mothers.

Driving Warning (Generally Safe)

Kidney Warning (High Risk)
Clarinase Repetab Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney impairment and in elderly patients with reduced kidney function since it is eliminated through the kidneys. Dose adjustment of Clarinase Repetab Tablet is needed. Please consult your doctor before use. The use of Clarinase Repetab Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease. Please consult your doctor.

Liver Warning (Use With Care)
Clarinase Repetab Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disorder. Dose adjustment of Clarinase Repetab Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor. Clarinase Repetab Tablet rarely leads to any hepatic impairment unless in the elderly patients. Dose adjustment of Clarinase Repetab Tablet may be needed.Please consult your doctor.

Whats the difference between Clarinase Repetab Tablet and other antihistamines?

There are two types of antihistamines. The drowsy and the non drowsy antihistamines. The drowsy antihistamines are Diphenhydramine, Promethazine, Chlorpheniramine. Wherelse the non drowsy antihistamines are Cetirizine, Fexofenadine and the rest. Most people prefer taking the non drowsy antihistamine as it does not disturb their everyday activities. You may choose the drowsy antihistamine if you are having difficulty sleeping or if the symptoms like coughing or itching disrupts your sleep. There isn't enough information available to say whether one antihistamine is better than another for treating allergies. Consult with your doctor or pharmacist for advice if you are unsure.

Usually, Clarinase Repetab Tablet starts working within 15 to 30 minutes. It has been found to act rapidly but the effect varies from person to person. This is because the response to a particular medication varies in every patient.
