Cetirizine Related Warnings

Alcohol Not Advisable

It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Cetirizine. Taking Cetirizine with alcohol may potentiate the CNS depressant effect.

Pregnancy Limited Data

As of now, Cetirizine has not had animal studies that show any foetal risk. However, there are no controlled studies in women for now therefore pregnant women should practice caution when using this medication.

Lactation Limited Data

Cetirizine is excreted in human milk but there are insufficient studies to provide a conclusion. Hence, breastfeeding mothers are advised to avoid the medication.

Driving Generally Safe

Cetirizine usually does not affect the ability to drive if does not exceed 10mg. Do not drive unless you are feeling well.

Kidney Use With Care

Cetirizine should be used with caution in patients with moderate to severe kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Cetirizine may be needed. Please consult your doctor before using it.

Liver Limited Data
