Sunward Sunizine 5mg/5ml Syrup contains Cetirizine, a second-generation, non-sedating (or low-sedating) antihistamine used to relieve allergy symptoms in children, formulated as a syrup for easy pediatric dosing. It helps relieve sneezing, runny or itchy nose, itchy or watery eyes, and itchy skin associated with conditions such as allergic rhinitis (hay fever), seasonal allergies, and hives (urticaria).

This syrup is available over the counter in Malaysia without a doctor’s prescription for children within the age range stated on the packaging. Parents should always check the label for the correct age range and dosing, and consult a doctor or pharmacist before giving it to very young children or if symptoms persist despite regular use.

Cetirizine works by blocking histamine H1 receptors throughout the body.
