This combination is intended for allergy symptoms that come with nasal congestion — the antihistamine component relieves sneezing, itching, and watery or itchy eyes, while the decongestant component helps to shrink swollen nasal blood vessels and relieve a blocked or stuffy nose.

It is commonly used for allergic rhinitis with nasal congestion, hay fever accompanied by a blocked nose, and sinus-related allergy discomfort where a plain antihistamine alone isn’t enough to relieve stuffiness. Because it contains a decongestant, Xepa Ezede-D Oral Solution is not simply interchangeable with plain cetirizine products, and it needs a bit more caution around blood pressure, sleep, and use in young children than an antihistamine-only formulation.
