Directions for Use

Before use, gently blow the nose to clear it, then tilt the head slightly forward and insert the spray nozzle into one nostril, spraying while breathing in gently through the nose, then repeat for the other nostril as directed on the label. The spray should only be used in the nose, the nozzle should be wiped clean after each use, and this product should not be used for longer than the maximum number of consecutive days stated on the packaging.

Dosage

The usual adult and adolescent dose is one to two sprays into each nostril, generally not more than two to three times a day, and no more often than every 10 to 12 hours as indicated on the label. This product should not be used for more than 3 consecutive days unless otherwise advised by a doctor or pharmacist, as prolonged use can lead to rebound congestion that is harder to treat.

Shelf Life

Axcel Oxymetazoline 0.05% Nasal Spray should be used within the shelf-life period printed on the packaging when stored unopened and correctly. Once opened, the bottle should generally be used within the period recommended by the pharmacist, and should not be used past its expiry date.

Storage Instructions

Axcel Oxymetazoline 0.05% Nasal Spray is intended only for short-term, occasional relief of nasal congestion and is not suitable as a long-term daily treatment, since extended use can cause the nasal lining to become dependent on the medicine, worsening congestion once it is stopped.
