Overview

Beagenta 0.3% Eye Ear Drop is a prescription-only medicine (POM) presented as ear drops, with Gentamicin 0.3% (as gentamicin sulfate) as its active ingredient content.

This page is limited to product, safety and handling information, in line with Malaysian rules on prescription medicine information for the public. Your prescriber or pharmacist is the right source for anything beyond that, together with the leaflet inside the pack.

Through DoctorOnCall, this product is supplied after an online consultation with a licensed doctor and a valid prescription, and it is checked by a registered pharmacist before dispensing. Take it exactly as prescribed, and speak to your doctor before stopping, changing the dose, or starting any other medicine alongside it.

Directions for Use

Wash your hands before use. For eye use, tilt your head back, pull down the lower eyelid, and instil the drop into the pocket formed without letting the dropper tip touch the eye, eyelid, or any surface. For ear use, tilt your head sideways and instil the drop into the ear canal, then remain tilted for a minute. If you wear contact lenses, remove them before applying eye drops and wait as advised by your doctor before reinserting them.

Dosage

The usual dose of Beagenta 0.3% Eye Ear Drop is 1-2 drops instilled into the affected eye or ear every 4 hours, or as directed by your doctor depending on the severity of the infection. Your doctor will advise how many days of treatment are needed.
