Overview

Enbrel 50mg/1ml Pre-filled Syringe is a prescription-only medicine (POM) that contains Etanercept 50mg/1ml. It is supplied as a medicine and is dispensed in Malaysia only against a valid prescription issued by a registered doctor.

Under Malaysian rules for prescription medicines, this page carries product, safety and handling information only. Your doctor or pharmacist will explain whether this medicine is suitable for you, the dose you should take, and how long you should take it.

On DoctorOnCall, Enbrel 50mg/1ml Pre-filled Syringe is reviewed by a licensed doctor through an online consultation and dispensed by a registered pharmacist before delivery. Always follow the instructions on your prescription label and the package insert supplied with the product, and do not share this medicine with anyone else.

Directions for Use

Enbrel 50mg/1ml Pre-filled Syringe is injected subcutaneously (under the skin) into the thigh, abdomen, or upper arm, using a technique your doctor or nurse will train you on before you self-inject. Rotate injection sites with each dose, and never inject into an area that is bruised, red, hard, or has an active infection or skin condition such as psoriasis plaques. Allow the syringe to reach room temperature before injecting and do not shake it.

Dosage

Enbrel 50mg/1ml Pre-filled Syringe is typically given once weekly by subcutaneous injection, though your specialist may set a different schedule depending on your specific condition. Never change the dose or frequency yourself – your rheumatologist or dermatologist will determine and adjust your regimen based on your response and ongoing monitoring.

Storage Instructions

Store in a refrigerator (2-8°C). Do not freeze. Keep the pre-filled syringe in its original carton to protect it from light, and out of reach of children.
