Exforge HCT 5/160/12.5mg Tablet

Exforge Tablet belongs to a group of medicines called antihypertensives and contains three active ingredients: Amlodipine, Hydrochlorothiazide and Valsartan. These ingredients work together to manage your health safely and effectively, under proper medical guidance. Some people may experience side effects such as dizziness, tiredness, swelling in the ankles, or frequent urination. If you’re taking this for the first time, don’ worry—most side effects are mild and temporary. Always make sure to follow your doctor’s instructions closely and never skip a dose without consulting them.

Take Exforge HCT 5/160/12.5mg Tablet once a day, at the same time each day, with or without food, as directed by your doctor.

Your doctor will determine the right dose for you, but the typical starting dose is one tablet daily. Do not exceed the prescribed amount without professional advice.

Exforge HCT 5/160/12.5mg Tablet has a shelf life of 24 months from the date of manufacture.

Store in a cool, dry place below 30°C, away from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.

Do not use if you are allergic to amlodipine, valsartan, hydrochlorothiazide, or any of the excipients. It should not be used during pregnancy, or if you have severe kidney or liver problems, low potassium or sodium levels, or a history of gout.

Avoid alcohol as it may increase the risk of side effects such as dizziness. Be cautious with potassium supplements, salt substitutes containing potassium, and NSAIDs (like ibuprofen), as they may interfere with the medication. Grapefruit juice may interact with amlodipine, so it is advised to avoid it while on Exforge HCT.

• Take at the same time daily to maintain consistent levels in your body
• Drink plenty of water unless otherwise directed by your doctor
• Avoid consuming grapefruit juice
• Do not skip doses or suddenly stop without consulting your doctor
• Monitor your blood pressure regularly
• Rise slowly from sitting or lying position to prevent dizziness
• Inform your doctor if you plan to become pregnant or are breastfeeding
