Overview

Fedac Tablet contains pseudoephedrine hydrochloride, a nasal decongestant, combined with triprolidine hydrochloride, a first-generation antihistamine, used to relieve nasal congestion and other symptoms of the common cold and allergic rhinitis (hay fever), such as sneezing, runny nose, and itchy or watery eyes.

Pseudoephedrine narrows swollen blood vessels in the nasal passages, reducing congestion and swelling. Triprolidine blocks histamine H1 receptors, which reduces the sneezing, itching, and excess mucus production that occur during an allergic reaction or cold.

How it Works

Pseudoephedrine is a sympathomimetic that stimulates alpha receptors in nasal blood vessels, causing them to constrict and reducing swelling and mucus production. Triprolidine competitively blocks histamine at H1 receptors, reducing the sneezing, itching, and watery discharge that histamine release would otherwise cause.

Directions for Use

Take Fedac Tablet with a glass of water, with or without food, as directed. Avoid taking other cold, flu, or allergy products at the same time, as many contain the same or similar active ingredients, which can lead to an accidental overdose.

Dosage

The dose and frequency of Fedac Tablet should follow your doctor’s or pharmacist’s instructions, and this medicine is generally intended for short-term, symptomatic use rather than prolonged, continuous treatment. Do not exceed the recommended dose or duration without medical advice.

Shelf Life

Use this product before the expiry date stated on the packaging. Do not use the medicine if the expiry date has passed.
