Mechanism of Action
Janumet 50/850mg Tablet is a biguanide, works by inhibiting the production of glucose in the liver through the process of gluconeogenesis and glycogenesis, delaying absorption of glucose in the intestine and increases target cell insulin sensitivity. One of the symptoms experienced by PCOS includes insulin resistance, characterised by hyperglycemia.

Janumet 50/850mg Tablet is a dipeptidyl peptidase 4 (DPP-4) inhibitor which will prolong active incretin levels. Incretin helps to regulate glucose homeostasis by increasing insulin synthesis and decreasing glucagon secretion. This will reduce the HbA1c level
