Overview

Clovate 0.05% Cream contains Clobetasol Propionate 0.05% w/w and is presented as a cream. It is supplied in a pack size of 15g.

It is classified as a non-prescription medicine, so no prescription is needed to order it. Under Malaysian rules for medicine information, this page carries product, safety and handling information only.

You can consult a doctor or pharmacist online on DoctorOnCall about this product before or after you order. Every order is checked by a registered pharmacist before it is delivered. Always read the label and the leaflet supplied with the pack.

Directions for Use

Apply a thin layer of Clovate 0.05% Cream to the affected skin only, usually once or twice daily as directed by your doctor, gently rubbing it in until absorbed; wash your hands after application unless the hands are the area being treated, and avoid applying it to the face, groin, or underarms unless your doctor has specifically instructed you to do so.

Dosage

The dose and duration are individualised by the prescribing doctor, but as a superpotent steroid, Clovate 0.05% Cream is generally used for the shortest effective period, commonly no more than 2 consecutive weeks, with a maximum weekly quantity advised by the doctor to reduce the risk of skin thinning and systemic absorption.

Shelf Life

Clovate 0.05% Cream is typically stable for up to 24 to 36 months from the date of manufacture when unopened and stored correctly; always check the expiry date printed on the tube or carton and do not use the product beyond this date.

Storage Instructions

Store Clovate 0.05% Cream below 30°C in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, keep the tube tightly closed after use, and keep it out of reach of children.
