Overview
Diprogenta Cream contains Betamethasone Dipropionate and is presented as a cream. It is supplied in a pack size of 15g.
It is classified as a non-prescription medicine, so no prescription is needed to order it. Under Malaysian rules for medicine information, this page carries product, safety and handling information only.
You can consult a doctor or pharmacist online on DoctorOnCall about this product before or after you order. Every order is checked by a registered pharmacist before it is delivered. Always read the label and the leaflet supplied with the pack.
Directions for Use
Diprogenta Cream should be applied only as directed by the prescribing doctor, typically as a thin layer to the affected skin area once or twice daily, gently rubbed in until absorbed. Hands should be washed after application unless the hands themselves are being treated, and the cream should not be applied under occlusive dressings or bandages unless specifically instructed by the doctor. Treatment should not be continued for longer than the prescribed duration, as prolonged use of potent steroid-antibiotic combinations increases the risk of side effects and antibiotic resistance.
Dosage
The doctor will determine the amount, frequency, and duration of Diprogenta Cream application based on the severity, location, and extent of the infected skin condition. Treatment courses are usually kept as short as possible, often limited to a maximum of two to four weeks, and the cream should be discontinued once the infection and inflammation have cleared unless the doctor advises otherwise. Patients should not use more cream or apply it more often than prescribed in an attempt to speed up healing.
Shelf Life
Diprogenta Cream should be used within the shelf life printed on the tube and outer packaging, and the expiry date should always be checked before each use. Do not use the cream after its expiry date, as its antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effectiveness cannot be guaranteed.
Storage Instructions
Store Diprogenta Cream below 30°C in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, and keep the tube tightly closed when not in use. Keep out of reach and sight of children, and do not store in the bathroom where humidity and temperature can fluctuate.
Side Effects
Nausea or vomiting
Skin rash or redness (particularly with topical use)
Injection site pain or irritation
Hearing issues (with prolonged use or high doses)
Balance problems or dizziness
Kidney function changes
Headache

Known hypersensitivity to betamethasone, gentamicin, or other aminoglycosides
Untreated bacterial, fungal, or viral skin infections not sensitive to gentamicin
Viral skin infections such as herpes simplex, chickenpox, or shingles
Acne vulgaris, rosacea, or perioral dermatitis
Skin tuberculosis or syphilitic skin lesions
Application to the eyes or eyelids
Use on broken skin or open wounds without medical supervision
Long-term continuous use on the face, groin, or armpits without doctor review
Drug / Food Interactions
Concurrent use with other topical corticosteroids may increase the risk of skin thinning and systemic absorption
Other topical aminoglycoside or ototoxic/nephrotoxic medicines may increase the risk of gentamicin-related side effects if absorbed systemically
Use with occlusive dressings increases absorption of both active ingredients and should only be done under medical direction
No significant food interactions are expected with topical use, as systemic absorption from intact skin is normally low
Quick Tips
Apply only the amount prescribed by your doctor and only to the specific infected area identified
Complete the full prescribed course but stop once your doctor advises the infection and inflammation have cleared
Wash your hands after applying, unless the hands are the area being treated
Avoid covering the treated area with airtight dressings unless your doctor specifically instructs this
Return to your doctor if the skin does not improve, spreads, or looks more infected after a few days of treatment

Relevant Information
Diprogenta Cream is intended for short-term use on confirmed, gentamicin-sensitive infected inflammatory skin conditions and is not suitable as a general-purpose steroid or antibiotic cream. Patients should follow up with their doctor if the skin condition does not improve within the expected timeframe, worsens, or if signs of a spreading infection, fever, or an allergic reaction develop. Long-term or inappropriate use of combination steroid-antibiotic creams can encourage antibiotic resistance and cause corticosteroid-related skin damage, so it should never be used beyond what the doctor has prescribed.

Within Malaysia, standard delivery takes 3 to 5 working days. Same-day delivery is available in the Klang Valley for orders placed before 12pm; orders placed after 12pm arrive by the end of the next day.
Orders to Singapore are sent as international deliveries and take 5 to 9 working days. A lump-sum shipping and handling fee applies to every overseas delivery and is shown at checkout.
Customers in Malaysia can pay by FPX online banking, credit or debit card (Visa and Mastercard), and supported e-wallets including Touch ‘n Go eWallet, GrabPay and ShopeePay.
FPX and local e-wallets are tied to Malaysian bank and wallet accounts, so if your delivery address is in Singapore, use the payment options displayed at checkout for that address rather than assuming the same list applies.

Singapore’s Health Sciences Authority (HSA) allows personal imports of up to three months’ supply of a medicine for your own use or an immediate family member’s, as long as it contains no controlled drugs, psychotropic substances or prohibited items. Keep the product in its original labelled packaging and keep a copy of your prescription or doctor’s letter with it. Quantities above three months’ supply, and medicines containing controlled substances, require prior HSA approval.
Products listed on DoctorOnCall are registered with Malaysia’s Ministry of Health for supply in Malaysia, and each pack carries its MAL registration number.
An order delivered to Singapore arrives as a personal import of a Malaysia-registered product; HSA product registration is not required for personal-use quantities, but it is also not the same as a product registered for sale in Singapore. If you need a locally registered Singapore product, buy it from a pharmacy in Singapore.
DoctorOnCall’s customer care team handles order, delivery and product queries through the contact channels on the site, including WhatsApp and the online help centre.
For deliveries to Singapore, allow more time before chasing an order than you would for a local Malaysian delivery, as the parcel passes through customs clearance and tracking updates can appear later in the journey.
