Overview

Hytrin 5mg Tablet is a prescription-only medicine (POM) presented as a tablet, with Terazosin 5mg (as terazosin hydrochloride) as its active ingredient content.

This page is limited to product, safety and handling information, in line with Malaysian rules on prescription medicine information for the public. Your prescriber or pharmacist is the right source for anything beyond that, together with the leaflet inside the pack.

Through DoctorOnCall, this product is supplied after an online consultation with a licensed doctor and a valid prescription, and it is checked by a registered pharmacist before dispensing. Take it exactly as prescribed, and speak to your doctor before stopping, changing the dose, or starting any other medicine alongside it.

Directions for Use

Take Hytrin 5mg Tablet at bedtime, especially when starting treatment or after a dose increase, to reduce dizziness on standing. It can be taken with or without food. Sit or lie down when you first take a dose or a higher dose, and avoid driving or operating machinery until you know how this medicine affects you.

Dosage

Hytrin 5mg Tablet is usually started at a low dose (often 1mg) at bedtime to reduce the risk of a sudden drop in blood pressure, then gradually increased by your doctor based on your response, up to a maximum individualised dose. Never increase your dose faster than your doctor instructs.
