Overview
Panelief Fast 500mg Tablet contains Paracetamol and is presented as a tablet. It is supplied in a pack size of 10s.
It is classified as an over-the-counter (OTC) medicine, so no prescription is needed to order it. Under Malaysian rules for medicine information, this page carries product, safety and handling information only.
You can consult a doctor or pharmacist online on DoctorOnCall about this product before or after you order. Every order is checked by a registered pharmacist before it is delivered. Always read the label and the leaflet supplied with the pack.
Directions for Use
Swallow the tablet whole with a full glass of water; do not crush, chew, or break it unless your pharmacist has advised otherwise. Panelief Fast may be taken with or without food, although taking it after a meal or light snack can help reduce the small chance of stomach discomfort in sensitive individuals. Use the lowest dose that relieves your symptoms, for the shortest duration needed.
Before taking Panelief Fast, check the active ingredients of any other medicines you are using — including flu and cold remedies, other pain relief tablets, and combination products — as many contain paracetamol (acetaminophen) under different brand names. Taking more than one paracetamol-containing product at the same time can lead to accidental overdose and serious liver injury, so never combine Panelief Fast with another paracetamol-containing medicine without checking with a pharmacist first.
Dosage
The typical adult and adolescent (12 years and above) dose of Panelief Fast 500mg Tablet is 1 to 2 tablets (500mg to 1000mg) taken every 4 to 6 hours as needed for pain or fever. Doses should be spaced at least 4 hours apart, and no more than 8 tablets (4000mg of paracetamol) should be taken in any 24-hour period. Taking more than this maximum daily dose does not give better pain or fever relief and significantly increases the risk of serious, potentially fatal liver damage.
If a dose is missed, it can be taken as soon as remembered if it is needed for ongoing pain or fever; do not take an extra or double dose to make up for one missed, and continue with the normal dosing interval from that point. Panelief Fast is meant for short-term self-treatment only. If fever persists beyond 3 days, if pain persists beyond 5 days, if symptoms worsen, or if new symptoms such as rash, swelling, or persistent vomiting develop, stop self-treating and see a doctor or pharmacist for further assessment.
Shelf Life
Use before the expiry date on the packaging.
Storage Instructions
Store below 30°C in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep the tablets in their original blister pack or container until ready to use, and keep this and all medicines out of the reach and sight of children.
Side Effects
- Common: When taken at the recommended dose, Panelief Fast is generally well tolerated and most people do not experience side effects; mild nausea, stomach upset, or drowsiness occur only occasionally.
- Serious: Serious liver damage can occur with paracetamol overdose or prolonged use of doses above the recommended maximum, sometimes with few early symptoms — seek emergency care immediately if you suspect an overdose, even if you feel well, as prompt treatment reduces the risk of permanent liver injury.
- Serious: Rare allergic reactions, including skin rash, swelling of the face or throat, or severe skin reactions, require immediate medical attention as they can progress quickly and become life-threatening.
Contraindications
- Known hypersensitivity (allergy) to paracetamol or any other ingredient in Panelief Fast.
- Severe hepatic (liver) impairment or active severe liver disease.
Drug / Food Interactions
- Alcohol: Regularly drinking alcohol, or drinking heavily, while taking paracetamol increases the risk of liver damage; limit or avoid alcohol during treatment.
- Warfarin and other anticoagulants: Regular use of paracetamol over several days may enhance the blood-thinning effect of warfarin, increasing bleeding risk — occasional, short-term use is generally considered low risk, but tell your doctor or pharmacist if you take warfarin and need paracetamol regularly.
- Other paracetamol-containing products: Do not take Panelief Fast together with other medicines containing paracetamol or acetaminophen (e.g. flu/cold remedies, other painkillers, combination products), as this can lead to accidental overdose and liver damage.
- Enzyme-inducing medicines: Certain long-term anti-epileptic or anti-a chronic infectious condition medicines may increase the risk of liver toxicity with paracetamol — check with your pharmacist if you are on long-term treatment for these conditions.
Quick Tips
- Always check the active ingredients of other medicines (especially flu, cold, and pain products) to avoid accidentally doubling up on paracetamol.
- Never exceed 8 tablets (4000mg) of paracetamol in 24 hours, even if pain or fever feels severe.
- Space doses at least 4 hours apart and avoid taking on an empty stomach if you have a sensitive stomach.
- Limit or avoid alcohol while taking this medicine to protect your liver.
- Keep track of the time and dose of your last tablet to avoid missed doses or accidental double-dosing.
- See a doctor if fever lasts more than 3 days or pain lasts more than 5 days despite taking Panelief Fast as directed.

How long will delivery take?
Within Malaysia, standard delivery takes 3 to 5 working days. Same-day delivery is available in the Klang Valley for orders placed before 12pm; orders placed after 12pm arrive by the end of the next day.
Orders to Singapore are sent as international deliveries and take 5 to 9 working days. A lump-sum shipping and handling fee applies to every overseas delivery and is shown at checkout.
What payment methods can I use?
Customers in Malaysia can pay by FPX online banking, credit or debit card (Visa and Mastercard), and supported e-wallets including Touch ‘n Go eWallet, GrabPay and ShopeePay.

Singapore’s Health Sciences Authority (HSA) allows personal imports of up to three months’ supply of a medicine for your own use or an immediate family member’s, as long as it contains no controlled drugs, psychotropic substances or prohibited items. Keep the product in its original labelled packaging and keep a copy of your prescription or doctor’s letter with it. Quantities above three months’ supply, and medicines containing controlled substances, require prior HSA approval.

Products listed on DoctorOnCall are registered with Malaysia’s Ministry of Health for supply in Malaysia, and each pack carries its MAL registration number.
An order delivered to Singapore arrives as a personal import of a Malaysia-registered product; HSA product registration is not required for personal-use quantities, but it is also not the same as a product registered for sale in Singapore. If you need a locally registered Singapore product, buy it from a pharmacy in Singapore.
Who do I contact if there is a problem with my order?
DoctorOnCall’s customer care team handles order, delivery and product queries through the contact channels on the site, including WhatsApp and the online help centre.
For deliveries to Singapore, allow more time before chasing an order than you would for a local Malaysian delivery, as the parcel passes through customs clearance and tracking updates can appear later in the journey.

Relevant Information
Precautions: Panelief Fast should be used with caution in people with existing liver disease, chronic heavy alcohol use, or malnutrition, as these conditions increase the risk of paracetamol-related liver damage even at standard doses. Use with caution in those with a chronic health condition impairment. Pregnant and breastfeeding women may generally use paracetamol at the lowest effective dose for the shortest time when needed, but should confirm with a doctor or pharmacist before regular or prolonged use. Elderly patients and those on multiple medicines should also check for duplicate paracetamol content across their other medications.
When to See a Doctor or Pharmacist: Stop self-treating with Panelief Fast and seek medical advice if fever persists beyond 3 days, pain persists beyond 5 days, symptoms worsen or recur frequently, or you notice signs of possible overdose or liver injury such as persistent nausea or vomiting, loss of appetite, abdominal pain (especially upper right side), unusual tiredness, or yellowing of the skin or eyes (jaundice). Seek emergency care immediately if you suspect you or someone else has taken more than the recommended dose, even without symptoms, as early treatment for paracetamol overdose is critical.
