Overview

Sandoz Alendronate 70mg Tablet contains Alendronic acid 70mg (as alendronate sodium) and is available as a tablet. It is classified as a prescription medicine and may only be obtained with a valid prescription from a registered medical practitioner.

Only product, safety and handling information is published here. Anything beyond that is explained to you directly by your doctor or pharmacist as part of your consultation.

DoctorOnCall is a licensed online pharmacy. Orders for Sandoz Alendronate 70mg Tablet are processed only after a doctor has assessed your suitability and issued a prescription, and every order is checked by a registered pharmacist before it is sent out.

Directions for Use

Take Sandoz Alendronate 70mg Tablet first thing in the morning, on an empty stomach, with a full glass (at least 200ml) of plain water only – not mineral water, coffee, tea, juice, or milk. Swallow the tablet whole; do not crush, chew or suck it. Remain fully upright (sitting or standing) and do not lie down for at least 30 minutes after taking it, and wait at least 30 minutes before eating or drinking anything else, or taking any other oral medicine, including calcium, antacids or vitamins. Taking this medicine incorrectly can cause irritation or damage to the oesophagus.

Dosage

The dose of Sandoz Alendronate 70mg Tablet is one 70mg tablet once weekly, taken on the same day each week as advised by your doctor. Your doctor will also advise on adequate calcium and vitamin D intake alongside this medicine, and may periodically review your bone density and continued need for treatment.
