DHA, or docosahexaenoic acid, is an omega-3 fatty acid.
DHA is abundant in oily fish such as salmon and anchovies, just like the omega-3 lipid eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA).
Because your body can only synthesise a minimal amount of DHA from other fatty acids, you must get it through diet or a supplement.
