Introduction of Janumet 50/500mg Tablet 7s (strip)

Januvia 100mg Tablet is used together with a balanced diet and regular exercise.

Januvia 100mg Tablet is usually administered when lifestyle changes alone or other medications do not seem effective. The doctor may prescribe it alone or with other medicines. It may be taken on an empty stomach or with a meal. The dosage may depend on your condition and blood sugar levels.

You should take medication consistently at the same time every day to get the most benefit, and you should not discontinue it until the doctor suggests it. It's essential to keep on your doctor's prescribed nutrition and exercise schedule when taking this medicine.

Before taking this medicine, let the doctor know whether you've ever had renal failure, cardiac or pancreatic issues, or whether you drink lots of alcohol. Before starting it, pregnant or breastfeeding women may also inform their doctor. Any other medications you're taking might interact with the function of this medication.

How To Use Janumet 50/500mg Tablet 7s (strip)

This medicine is for oral use only. Swallow this medication as a whole with water. Do not chew, crush or break it. It is better to take this medication at a fixed time each day if it is indicated for everyday use.

Janumet 50/500mg FC tab Drug Interactions

Drug to drug interaction reaction of Janumet 50/500mg FC tab varies from a person to another person. It is advisable to check with your doctor about all the possible drug interactions before starting the medication.

Alcohol Warning (Not Advisable)
It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Janumet 50/500mg Tablet 7s (strip). Alcohol intoxication can increase the risk of lactic acidosis particularly in case of fasting, malnutrition or hepatic impairment.It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Janumet 50/500mg Tablet 7s (strip). Alcohol can affect the blood sugar level therefore either hyperglycemia or hypoglycemia can occur. Furthermore, it can affect the pancreas which is the site of insulin production, which in turn worsen the diabetic control.

Pregnancy Warning (Maybe Safe)
Janumet 50/500mg Tablet 7s (strip) should be safe to use during pregnancy because either animal or human studies have not shown any adverse effects on the fetus, however, uncontrolled hyperglycemia in people with PCOS can increase the risk of congenital abnormalities and intrauterine death. Animal studies have shown the toxic effects at high doses on the foetuses. Due to the lack of human data, it is not recommended to use during pregnancy. Thus, please consult your doctor for more details.

Breastfeeding Warning (Limited Data)
Limited human studies suggest that Janumet 50/500mg Tablet 7s (strip) does not represent a significant risk to the baby when used during pregnancy. In regards to limited data, please consult your doctor to decide on discontinuation of breastfeeding or Janumet 50/500mg Tablet 7s (strip).No academic reports explaining the use of Janumet 50/500mg Tablet 7s (strip) during human lactation are available at the moment. Hence it is recommended to not use during breastfeeding.

Driving Warning (Generally Safe)
Janumet 50/500mg Tablet 7s (strip) usually does not affect the ability to drive. Do not drive unless you are feeling well.Janumet 50/500mg Tablet 7s (strip) usually does not affect the ability to drive. Do not drive unless you are feeling well.

Kidney Warning (High Risk)
Janumet 50/500mg Tablet 7s (strip) is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease, especially in patients with creatinine clearance less than 60mL/min. Patients with severe kidney disease has high risk to get lactic acidosis. Dose adjustment of Janumet 50/500mg Tablet 7s (strip) and regular check up to monitor renal function may be needed. Please consult your doctor before consumption.No dose adjustment is needed for mild renal impairment patients. However, if the glomerular filtration rate is lower than 60 mL/min, dose adjustment may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

Liver Warning (Limited Data)
Janumet 50/500mg Tablet 7s (strip) should be used with caution in patients with liver disease due to increased risk of lactic acidosis. Hence liver function test should be done before initiating Janumet 50/500mg Tablet 7s (strip). Discontinuation of Janumet 50/500mg Tablet 7s (strip) may be needed if there is deterioration of liver function. Please consult your doctor. No dose adjustments needed in mild to moderate liver impairment whereas there are no studies on Janumet 50/500mg Tablet 7s (strip) use in severe liver impairment. However, Janumet 50/500mg Tablet 7s (strip) is primarily eliminated in the kidneys, so it is effects on severe liver impairment are expected to be safe.

If you miss a dose of Januvia 100mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

As with all medications, you may experience some side effects. Not everyone experiences it. This is not a cause for concern. However, it is so that you are aware of it.

Many side effects do not need immediate medical attention and resolve as the body responds to the medicine. Tell the doctor if they continue or if you are concerned about them.

The most common adverse effect of taking this drug is headache. This is typically mild and decreases with time. Low blood sugar (hypoglycemia) is a potential side effect if you also take other medications such as insulin or sulfonylurea, so you need to know how to identify and manage it. It can also induce upper respiratory tract infections such as sore throat, cough, and cold.

DoctorOnCall reserves the right to reject the request for return and/ or exchange if not notified by the Customer within one (1) day of receiving the product.
  4. The Customer will be contacted by DoctorOnCall within one (1) day of request for return and/ or exchange to inform the Customer of the return and/ or exchange process.
  5. Upon approval of the Return and/ or Exchange request, the Customer is to deliver the affected Product back to the address of the vendor as stated on the parcel received
  6. The affected Products MUST be returned in its new, unused, original condition, with quantity and packaging delivered to Customer.
  7. For rehab products, wheelchairs, electronic products, and medical devices, all products must be returned in its original packaging with cables, accessories, and documentation including manuals and warranty card intact.
  8. Failure to return the Product as described in clause 6 and 7 will result in a cancellation of the return and/ or exchange request, and any fees incurred in delivering the package back to the Customer will be borne by the Customer
  9. The return of a Product by a Customer does not automatically warrant for an exchange or refund. DoctorOnCall will inspect the returned Products upon receipt of the same. If the conditions in clause No. 6 and 7 of this Return and/ or Exchange Policy have been fulfilled, refunds/ exchanges will be made to the Customer, and the Customer will be reimbursed by DoctorOnCall for any courier charges incurred in returning of the Products. A courier payment slip is to be furnished to DoctorOnCall for the purpose of reimbursement.
  10. All replacements or exchange of Products shall be effected subject to stock availability. If a Product which was ordered and invoiced is not included in the delivery, DoctorOnCall shall either refund the Customer the value of that Product, or replace the ordered Product.
  11. If any Product which was not included in the Customer's Order is delivered to the Customer, DoctorOnCall shall collect the Product from the Customer. If a Customer is charged more than the value of a Product as displayed on the site when the Customer makes its Order, DoctorOnCall shall refund to the Customer the difference.
  12. All refunds will be made via the same mode of payment within 2 months. Customer's receipt of the refund will depend on the period of time the selected financial institution takes to finalise the refund. DoctorOnCall shall not be liable with respect to any loss, damage, cost or expense that the Customer or any person may incur as a result of any delay in the financial institution processing of the said refund.
