Topical betamethasone is a form of medication known as a steroid. Steroids aid in the reduction of skin redness, swelling, and inflammation.

Side Effects of Betamethasone Topical

Itchy Skin, Local Skin Burning Or Pain, Allergic Reaction At The Site Of Application, Worsening Of Condition, Application Site Irritation, Redness, Rash Or Hives, If You Have Psoriasis You May Get Raised Bumps With Pus Under The Skin. This Can Happen Very Rarely During Or After Treatment And Is Known As Pustular Psoriasis Skin Infection.

Alcohol Safe

As Betamethasone Topical is used topically, the risk of interacting with alcohol consumed is negligible.

Pregnancy Not Safe

Betamethasone Topical may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Animal reproduction studies have shown adverse effects on the fetus. However, there are limited well-controlled human studies. The benefits from the use of Betamethasone Topical in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.

Lactation Limited Data

Betamethasone Topical is probably unsafe to use during lactation. Animals studies showed Betamethasone Topical is excreted in the milk of rats. Limited human data suggests that Betamethasone Topical does not represent a significant risk to the baby.

Driving Generally Safe

Betamethasone Topical should not affect alertness or driving ability.

Kidney Safe If Prescribed

Betamethasone Topical is safe to be used in patients with kidney impairment.

Liver Safe If Prescribed

Betamethasone Topical is generally safe for patients with liver disease.
