Axcel Oxymetazoline 0.025% Nasal Drop

Axcel Oxymetazoline 0.025% Nasal Drop is a topical nasal preparation that belongs to the class of drugs called nasal decongestants. Its active ingredient is oxymetazoline hydrochloride at a concentration of 0.025%. While generally well tolerated, some users may experience mild irritation, dryness in the nose, sneezing, or a burning sensation. If you’re considering adding this to your cold care kit, know that it’s fast-acting and easy to use—but always follow the recommended directions and avoid overuse to prevent rebound effects.

Tilt your head back slightly, insert the prescribed number of drops into each nostril, and avoid blowing your nose immediately after application.

The usual dosage is 2–3 drops in each nostril every 10–12 hours, and it should not be used more than twice in 24 hours.

Axcel Oxymetazoline 0.025% Nasal Drop has a shelf life of 2 years from the date of manufacture.

Store in a cool, dry place below 30°C. Keep the bottle tightly closed and out of reach of children. Do not freeze or expose to direct sunlight.

Do not use in individuals who are allergic to oxymetazoline or any other ingredients in the formulation. It is also contraindicated in patients with narrow-angle glaucoma, or those who have undergone recent nasal surgery. Use in infants and young children under medical advice only.

Avoid concurrent use with other nasal decongestants or monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) as it may increase the risk of side effects. No known serious food interactions, but always advise your doctor if you are on any other medication or supplements.
