Overview

Galvus Met 50/1000mg Tablet is a prescription-only medicine (POM) presented as a tablet, with Vildagliptin 50mg and Metformin hydrochloride 1000mg as its active ingredient content.

This page is limited to product, safety and handling information, in line with Malaysian rules on prescription medicine information for the public. Your prescriber or pharmacist is the right source for anything beyond that, together with the leaflet inside the pack.

Through DoctorOnCall, this product is supplied after an online consultation with a licensed doctor and a valid prescription, and it is checked by a registered pharmacist before dispensing. Take it exactly as prescribed, and speak to your doctor before stopping, changing the dose, or starting any other medicine alongside it.

Directions for Use

Take Galvus Met 50/1000mg Tablet with or shortly after meals (usually breakfast and dinner) to reduce stomach upset, at about the same times each day. Swallow the tablet whole with water. Continue following your prescribed diet and exercise plan alongside this medicine.

Dosage

Galvus Met 50/1000mg Tablet is usually taken twice daily, with the specific strength prescribed by your doctor based on your current blood sugar control and kidney function. Your doctor will periodically review your dose and kidney function, as the metformin component requires dose adjustment or avoidance in significant kidney impairment.
