How to take Rybelsus correctly

- Wait at least 30 minutes before eating, drinking, or taking other oral medicines.
- The usual starting regimen is 3mg daily for the first 30 days. Your clinician may then increase the dose to 7mg. Start with 3mg for the first 30 days, then increase to 7mg
- Your clinician may increase to 14mg based on your response

How to take your Rybelsus
Take your Rybelsus tablet first thing in the morning on an empty stomach, before eating, drinking, or taking other oral medicines.
Swallow the tablet whole with up to 120 ml (½ glass) of plain water. Do not crush, chew, or split the tablet.
Wait at least 30 minutes before eating, drinking anything other than plain water, or taking other oral medicines. This helps ensure proper absorption.
After waiting at least 30 minutes, enjoy your breakfast and resume your usual routine. You may take other oral medicines after this waiting period, as directed by your healthcare professional.

Dosage
Rybelsus Tablet is taken once daily. Treatment is usually started at a low dose and increased gradually by your doctor at monthly intervals based on your blood sugar response and tolerability, up to the maintenance dose that suits you. Never change your own dose without your doctor’s advice.

Drug / Food Interactions
- Insulin or sulfonylureas (e.g. gliclazide) may need a dose reduction to avoid low blood sugar when combined with semaglutide
- Oral contraceptives and other oral medicines may be absorbed less predictably due to slowed stomach emptying – discuss timing with your doctor
- Warfarin’s effect may need closer monitoring when starting semaglutide
- Alcohol may increase the risk of low blood sugar and worsen nausea
