About The Program

• The A-STAR Technology Associate Program aims to fast-track fresh graduates towards a career in technology. 
  The program is a 2 year program which covers training across different disciplines within the Technology team.
  
• The role is aimed to give the candidate a solid starting foundation for more specialized senior roles in the future
• Rotations include roles and training in different functions / departments including but not limited to:
  
  UI/UX Design
  Product and Project Management
  Frontend Development
  Backend Development
  Testing and Automation
  Technology Architecture
  Database
  Cloud and Networking
  Data Analytics
  Cybersecurity and Compliance
  Search Engine Optimization
  Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning
  Internet of Things
  Business Development
  Technology Marketing

Responsibilities

• Work with development teams to ideate and deliver
  software solutions
• Design client-side and server-side architecture
• Build the front-end of applications through appealing visual design
• Develop and manage well-functioning databases and applications
• Write effective APIs
• Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency
• Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade software
• Create security and data protection settings
• Build features and applications with a mobile responsive design
• Write useful technical documentation
• Work with subject matter experts to build skills in rotational departments

What's Good to Have:

• Experience in Full Stack Development or similar role
• Experience developing desktop and mobile applications
• Familiarity with common stacks including NodeJS and ExpressJS
• Knowledge of multiple front-end languages and libraries (e.g. HTML/ CSS, JavaScript, XML, jQuery)
• Knowledge of multiple JavaScript frameworks (e.g. Angular, React, Node.js)
• Familiarity with databases (e.g. MySQL, PostgreSQL, Firebase)
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Great attention to detail
• Organizational skills
• An analytical mind
