Hi, i been diagnose for rectum abscess for few weeks, doctor prescribed antibiotics and painkiller but it doesnt subsided, any home remedies recommend?

For your information, a rectum abscess is mostly cause by bacterial infections, and formed a pus collection cavity, which known as abscess if left untreated.
Antibiotics is able to remove the infected bacterial and prevent worsen of the condition, may heal an small abscess. Healing of an abscess is depends on its severity, an larger abscess may require incision and drainage to remove the collected pus to improve the healing process. Pus is formed by dead cells and bacterial, which will affect the healing process.
Other than that, painkiller is only a symptomatic relief medication. Therefore, if after you have completed your antibiotic treatment, usually 1 to 2 weeks, and your symptoms or abscess is not healed, you need to refer to your doctor to review on your treatment plan.
Any home remedies is not recommended due to insufficient scientific evidences, and may worsen the condition.
