How do Dengvaxia and Qdenga dengue vaccine work?

Dengvaxia is a live attenuated vaccine, meaning it contains weakened forms of the dengue virus to stimulate an immune response. Qdenga Dengue Vaccine, on the other hand, is a subunit vaccine that contains specific components of the dengue virus to induce immunity without causing the disease.
What sets Qdenga apart is that it doesn’t require the patient to have a previous history of dengue infection, unlike Dengvaxia. This makes Qdenga a more accessible option for individuals who haven’t been exposed to dengue before.
