  • Hey there and good morning. Thanks for your kind question. Viagra is the treatment for erectile dysfunction commonly known as ED and impotence. It helps male with ED to get erects in response to sexual desires. How does Viagra work? Viagra tablets has an active ingredient called sildenafil, which is a type of a phosphodiesterase type 5 inhibitor. It aids you to obtain and maintain the erection by helping more blood pumps into your penis when you are sexually actived.

  • An erection is produced by a complex series of events, involving signals from the central nervous system (CNS) and the release of chemical substances within the muscles of the penis. One of the messengers released is called cyclic GMP especially when you are aroused. Taking viagra has a lot of side effects.

  • One of the side effects include eye problems for example red or bloodshot eye (as per you described I presume) or watery eye, painful eye or sensitive to the light. You can discuss further with your local doctor about the consumption of viagra and its side effects.

  • For the high cholesterol, it is also advisable for you to report to your local doctor with regards to your current situation so that the further management plan can be made. But one of the most common treatment or medication used for a high cholesterol level is a drug called as statin.

  • Statin acts as a Hmg co A reductase inhibitor which can helps to reduce the formation of fats in our body. Statin is a very effective drugs in reducing the lipid levels in our body. You will be prescribed by your doctor and will be advised to take one tablet each day until a certain period. The most common side effect of statin is muscle pain. Good luck!
