I have Eye Infection

I have eye infection. This is my 3rd encounter and my past 2 round when I visit my eye specialist, they giving me TobraDex Eye drop and Nevanac Eye drop. Can I know what’s the prescription for both these eye drop as I wanted to buy extra to keep at home in case I have eye infection again.

Good Evening,
Thank you for your question. I understand your situation and will try my best to assist you.

TobraDex eyedrops is used to treat eye infections. Tobramycin belongs to a class of drugs called aminoglycoside antibiotics. It works by stopping the growth of bacteria. This medication treats only bacterial eye infections. It will not work for other types of eye infections. Unnecessary use or overuse of any antibiotic can lead to its decreased effectiveness.

Nevanac Eyedrops is used to relieve eye pain, irritation, and redness following cataract eye surgery. Nepafenac belongs to a class of drugs known as nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). It works by blocking certain natural substances (prostaglandins) in your body that cause pain and swelling.
