Hello and good afternoon.
Thank you for your question.

Based on your question, I understand that you are worried about your problem. I will try to help you.

For your information, syphilis can be treated well in the early stages. Early treatment with penicillin is important, as long -term exposure to the disease can lead to life -threatening consequences.

  • During the primary, secondary, or late stages, patients will receive intramuscular injections of Benzathine penicillin G. Treatment strategies will depend on symptoms and when a person is exposed to syphilis.
  • Tertiary syphilis requires injections several times per week.
  • Neurosyphilis requires intravenous penicillin to eliminate bacteria in the blood from the central nervous system (CNS).

Syphilis is an infectious disease that is spread primarily through sexual activity, including oral and anal sex. Therefore, to prevent transmission, the use of protection such as condoms is necessary. This disease needs to be treated to prevent complications such as fertility problems. Additionally, newborns who are prone to syphilis in the womb should undergo antibiotic treatment.

Curing the infection will prevent more severe damage to the body, and safe sexual activity can be done, but it cannot restore any damage that has already occurred.

Returning back on your question, if you have been treated for syphilis, you are usually required to avert having sex for at least 7 days after post-treatment.

I strongly encourage you to consult a doctor for proper treatment. You can contact our doctor online for further information and treatment.

I hope this answer helps you. Thank you.
