Xylocaine 2% Jelly is a local anesthetic used to relieve symptoms of severe inflammation of certain part of the body.

If you have liver disease or are taking medicines for heart rate conditions, inform the doctor before using it. Even when medications used on the skin are usually not affected by other medicines, you should let your doctor know if you are using any other medicines to be sure. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, seek the doctor for advice.

How To Use Xylocaine 2% Jelly 30g

This medicine is for external use only. It should be applied to clean, dry and intact skin. Always wash your hands before and after using the jelly. Take an appropriate amount and apply to the affected areas. Replace cap tightly after each use.

Side Effects

As with all medications, you may experience some side effects. Not everyone experiences it. This is not a cause for concern. However, it is so that you are aware of it.

Many side effects require minimal medical assistance and fades as the body responds to the medicine. Speak to the doctor if they continue or if you are particularly worried.

Redness, rash, burning, and irritation at the injection site are the most typical side effects of this treatment. These are generally mild and short-lived. If any of the side effects persist or bother you, contact the doctor.

It is generally safe to consume alcohol with Xylocaine 2% Jelly 30g/Lignocaine Polymyxin B Acetic Acid. Taking Xylocaine 2% Jelly 30g/Lignocaine Polymyxin B Acetic Acid with alcohol has no known interactions.

Pregnancy Warning (Limited Data)

There are no or limited amount of data from the use of Xylocaine 2% Jelly 30g/Lignocaine Polymyxin B Acetic Acid during pregnancy. As with all medicines care should be taken when using this product in pregnancy and seek advice from your doctor or pharmacist before starting.

Breastfeeding Warning (Limited Data)

There are no or limited amount of data from the use of Xylocaine 2% Jelly 30g/Lignocaine Polymyxin B Acetic Acid during lactation. As with all medicines care should be taken when using this product in pregnancy and seek advice from your doctor or pharmacist before starting.

Driving Warning (Generally Safe)

Xylocaine 2% Jelly 30g/Lignocaine Polymyxin B Acetic Acid should not affect alertness or driving ability.

Kidney Warning (Safe If Prescribed)

Xylocaine 2% Jelly 30g/Lignocaine Polymyxin B Acetic Acid is generally safe to be used in patients with kidney disease. There's minimal systemic absorption of Xylocaine 2% Jelly 30g/Lignocaine Polymyxin B Acetic Acid.

Liver Warning (Safe If Prescribed)

Xylocaine 2% Jelly 30g/Lignocaine Polymyxin B Acetic Acid is safe to be used in patients with liver disease. There's minimal systemic absorption of Xylocaine 2% Jelly 30g/Lignocaine Polymyxin B Acetic Acid.

Quick Tips

  • Xylocaine 2% Jelly should be taken according to the recommended dosage and duration.
  • Xylocaine 2% Jelly should be applied as a thin layer to the afflicted regions 3 to 4 times a day or as directed by your doctor.
  • Do not apply more than the recommended by the doctor.
  • Avoid applying Xylocaine 2% Jelly to broken or infected areas of skin, face, eyes or eyelids unless instructed to by your doctor
  • Wash the affected area thoroughly with soap and water before each application with clean fingertips.
  • Avoid contact with eyes, nose, or mouth. If inadvertent exposure occurs, quickly rinse with water.
  • Unless instructed by a doctor, do not cover the area being treated with airtight coverings such as bandages, as this may increase the risk of adverse effects.
  • Discontinue Xylocaine 2% Jelly and notify your doctor if you notice your condition worsens and does not improve after 2 to 4 weeks.
  • Discuss with your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to conceive or breastfeeding.
