I am a women in my 20’s and i had a lump under my chin for 3 weeks already. I had went to a clinic but the doctor said its just a bacterial infection. I had eaten the medicine but the lumps is not shrinking or disappearing. It does hurt when i touch and there are times the area around my neck that is near the lump also hurts. What should i do? Should i went to the government hospital for further action or should i just wait for it to slowly disappear? Thank you

According to your description, the lump under your chin is painful on touch for 3 weeks even after medication. This could be due to a variety of causes such as:

  • Swollen lymph nodes

  • Infected Sebaceous cyst

As your symptoms have been ongoing for 3 weeks, I strongly encourage you to consult a doctor to further explore your situation and provide you with an accurate choice of treatment and management. You can contact our doctor online for further information and treatment.
