Good morning doctor,
If I may ask, would a self-quarantine be required prior to or post to getting a Covid19 vaccine?
And are there any other requirement I need to prepare prior to receiving the jab?
Hello, and thank you for contacting us
No, you don't need to quarantine your self prior or post to getting a COVID19 vaccination. However these are the reccomended preperation we would advise you prior to taking the COVID19 jab.
Occasionally different vaccination centres might have slightly different SOP according to the situation of their current pandemic surrounding. Therefore, I advise you to directly contact your local Vaccine Administration Centre (VAC) in the near future for more specific procedure.
For the time being, I would also encourage you to answer this quiz on Risk Assessment for COVID-19 to evaluate their health status in regards to this disease. After completing this quiz, you will be classified into several categories. Further instructions will be given at the end of the quiz. Please act accordingly.
As a precautionary measure, you may also click on this link to directly request a COVID-19 screening test for your self, close freinds or family members, if you suspect any symptoms associated to COVID-19. You may contact the Crisis Preparedness and Response Centre (CPRC) for further information. Other than that, continue practicing good hand hygiene, wearing face mask and normalizing social/physical distancing.
