Good morning doctor,

If I may ask, would a self-quarantine be required prior to or post to getting a Covid19 vaccine?

And are there any other requirement I need to prepare prior to receiving the jab?

Thank you

Hello, and thank you for contacting us

We truly understand your concern with regard to your current condition.

No, you don't need to quarantine your self prior or post to getting a COVID19 vaccination. However these are the reccomended preperation we would advise you prior to taking the COVID19 jab.

  • Read thoroughly the Vaccine Consent Form
  • Undestanding the benefit & possible side effects of vaccination
  • Avoid taking any pain reliever medication prior to vaccination (without you doctor's knowledge)
  • Wear clothes that makes it easy to access you arms
  • Having plenty of rest & enough sleep the night before
  • Remember to have your breakfast and drink plenty of water

Occasionally different vaccination centres might have slightly different SOP according to the situation of their current pandemic surrounding. Therefore, I advise you to directly contact your local Vaccine Administration Centre (VAC) in the near future for more specific procedure.

For the time being, I would also encourage you to answer this quiz on Risk Assessment for COVID-19 to evaluate their health status in regards to this disease. After completing this quiz, you will be classified into several categories. Further instructions will be given at the end of the quiz. Please act accordingly.
