Concern About Allergy Reaction
Hello,
Recently, I developed severe allergy reaction after consuming red meat (especially bovines) which caused severe stomach pain and diarrhea to the point of almost passing out from pain.
This issue has raised some questions in me. Since I am allergic to all red meat, it means I can no longer consume mammalian meats and mammalian by-products which possibly includes gelatin, unfortunately, since it is derived of animal body part.
I can avoid gelatin in foods, but how about the capsule shell made from gelatin like antibiotics? Won’t it trigger allergy reaction?

Based on your explanation, you might me experiencing food poisoning instead. This is because, the symptoms you mentioned above is symptoms of food poisoning. For your information, gelatin is a very rare type of allergy and you need to be tested before confirming. Normally, food poisoning symptoms tend to disappear by itself after few days. If the symptoms persists, please consult a doctor.
