COVID-19 - quarantine requirement if there is an employee confirmed with positive for COVID-19
Is it a mandatory to quarantine all employees in manufacturing plant if an employee is confirmed positive and have been working in the production floor for the past 14 days? eg the practice implemented by telecommunication company in Penang.
Is it necessary or mandatory to quarantine the employee if the close contact (spouse, family member) work in a manufacturing company that has a confirmed COVID-19 case?

First and foremost, I understand your concern regarding this issue of coronavirus since there’s an outbreak of the virus.
It is mandatory for employees who work with the positive COVID19 patient to be screened and quarantine. You are advised to encourage them to the health screening as they are consider as close contact to the confirmed COVID19 patients.
They can be tested for COVID-19 in government hospital as they would do it to any high risk individual. Apart from that, we also provide home testing services, accessible through this link: COVID-19 Screening At Home.
As for the employee to the close contact for a confirmed COVID19 case, it is recommended for them to monitor COVID19 symptoms and they are not mandatory to be quarantined.
