Hi doc, yesterday i visited Summit, Subang Jaya mall and happen to press the life button and accidentally scratch my eyebrow area later on. After reaching home, i started to feel body heat and body ache. say from 5pm till now 5am the body ache and body heat is still there mildly. Not sure if it is a fever but body does feel heaty and uncomfortable. Body feels tired as well. There is no cough or any sore throat symptoms as for yet. What should i do? Took panadol and still the same. Ive started staying in my room since i come back. Should i visit a doc to check on the covid test? I took the online assessment here but it says im fine. But body is heaty, tired and little pain. Do advice doc. Thank you.

Thank you for your questions. The following answers regarding your current queries are just general descriptions due to the limited information provided by you. Click on this link (DoctorOnCall) for a private consultation with our doctors.

First and foremost, we truly understand your concerns regarding your symptoms and other health problems you might be facing. For your information, fever happens when the body is reacting to the pathogen or any infection. Normal body temperature is between 36.5 to 37.5 degree Celsius and more than that is considered fever. Fever generally has multiple causes including:

  • Dengue fever
  • Malaria fever
  • Leptospirosis infection
  • Typhoid fever
  • Tuberculosis infection
  • Allergic rhinitis
  • Pharyngitis
  • Otitis media
  • Viral fever

As long as you don’t have any close contact with someone who is a CONFIRMED case of COVID-19 or history of travelling to countries that are affected, you should be fine and in the meantime you are advised to quarantine yourself for at least 14 days if you experiencing any of the symptoms. After that period, if the symptoms persist, you should seek medical attention.

In order for us to provide you with an accurate choice of treatment and management, we need additional details to explore further into your current complaints. Therefore, we greatly suggest that you refer this to your nearest medical doctor. You may also click on this link (DoctorOnCall) to speak with our doctors online. We assure you that our conversations are kept in confidentiality unless additional consultation needed with other medical parties. Thank you.
