Eligibility to attend my vaccination appointment
Hi, I have my Astrazeneca vaccine appointment in 3 days and found out a few days ago that I was in close contact with a friend who resulted positive with his RTK. I immediately took an RTK test and it resulted negative but remained quarantined. I updated in the MySejahtera app and it shows that my status is currently “Casual Contact” since I have not been experiencing any symptoms for the past 5 days. Today, my friend’s PCR result came out positive and I was wondering if his results would affect my status to “Close Contact” as I wouldn’t be allowed to enter the PPV centre with that particular status.

Thank you for your question. For your information, if your colleague is positive for COVID-19, you are then called a direct contact of a COVID-19 patient. However, you may answer the quiz on Risk Assessment for COVID-19 to evaluate your health status in regards to this disease. After completing this quiz, you will be classified into several categories. An instruction will be given at the end of the quiz. Please act accordingly.
You may consult a MOH doctor by clicking Ask Doctor at the Ministry of Health website (COVID-19 Portal) to ask any health issues related to COVID-19 starting from 8.30 am to 5.00 pm.
