Heavy period with blood clotting

I am 29 yrs old, taking thyroxine everyday due to total removal of thyroid in 2012. My period is irregular… but once it comes, my period is heavy along with blood clotting, i can use up to 6 pads per day (40cm). 1 pad is around 2-3 hrs. But no pain. Do u know whats the problem and is it relate to fibroid? Or etc… pls shed me some lights on this. Thank u
