I was at a lawyers meeting on 27.2.2020. One lawyer in the meeting has tested positive of Covid-19. I was in close contact with his partner on the same day. The partner has tested negative but is under quarantine. I’ve been having a sore throat since yesterday. Should I get myself checked ?

Thank you for your question.

First and foremost, I understand your concern regarding this issue of coronavirus since there’s an outbreak of the virus.

I understand about your worry since you are experiencing sore throat following your contact with the COVID 19 partner.
There are many reasons that may cause sore throat. These include:

  • viral infection
  • tonsillitis
  • trauma
  • bacterial infection
    -GERD.

Nevertheless, we cannot omit the posibility of COVID19. Therefore, you are advice to asssess your risk profile. You can assess that by answering the quiz on Risk Assessment for COVID-19 to evaluate your health status in regards to this disease. After completing this quiz, you will be classified into several categories as follows and please act accordingly.
